candice nance, Owner + Pilates Instructor

Candice is a North Carolina native and attended UNC-Charlotte. After she graduated college, she stayed in the area, eventually landing in York County, SC where she has lived for the last 16 years. After living in Rock Hill a few years, she decided it would be the ideal place to start the boutique Pilates studio she had been dreaming of.

Candice became a comprehensively certified Pilates Instructor after suffering from injuries that kept her from doing all of the popular high-impact workouts. One session of low-impact reformer Pilates and the rest is history. She has a special interest in Pilates for seniors and athletic style programming. She holds a comprehensive (500+) Pilates certification in reformer, mat, Cadillac, ladder barrel, chair, and props. She is also TRX certified.

After teaching thousands of hours of group fitness, Candice wanted to set her business model apart from the industry—keep it small, personal, safe. She wanted all clients to feel welcome and more than just a number. Her vision, Rock Hill Pilates, opened in August 2022.

Candice is passionate about mentorship, the color purple, Ennegrams, Diet Coke, Star Trek, psychology, and golf. She and her husband have 7 rescue animals—4 dogs and 3 cats!

Genelle was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases over the last decade and, in a desire to regain mobility in her body, joined her first Pilates class a little over five years ago. Pilates changed her life, reduced her pain and allowed her to move again. The results were so life-altering that she decided to pursue certification to become an instructor. She is passionate about helping others to enjoy life and movement through Pilates as she has been able to do.

She is a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor in Reformer, Mat, Ladder Barrel, Chair, and Cadillac. When not teaching Pilates, Genelle can be found spending time with family.

Leah moved to Rock Hill in 2018 to obtain her undergraduate and Master’s Degree from Winthrop University. She has been a member of Rock Hill Pilates since 2023. She tried Pilates in 2019, then picked it back up a few years later after hearing about RHP and wanting to get back into group fitness after a few years off.

Her connections with instructors and fellow studio members are what led her to pursue teaching. Her biggest goal is to move well throughout life and to help others do so, as well, in a welcoming and fun environment.

When not working or teaching Pilates, Leah enjoys thrifting, spending time with her family, and playing with her nephews.
